The course diploma in mechanical is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education HSBTE Panchkula. It contains 120 seats in first year. Duration for the completion of course for the first year admitted candidates is three years. As per the syllabus of HSBTE, the course provides the basic knowledge of the mechanical engineering, so that the student is able to know that how the mechanical activities performed in the industry. Mechanical Engineering course is related to a discipline of Engineering that applies to principles of Physics and Material Science for the analysis, design manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical system. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for design, production, and operation of machines. This field of engineering requires understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, automobile and electricity etc.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering enables to research, develop, design, test & manufacture tools, engines, machines & other mechanical devices. They also design tools needed by other engineers for their work. They work in many industries and their work varies from industry to industry. Some other specialties include applied mechanics, computer aided design & manufacturing (CAD & CAM), energy systems, pressure vessels & piping, heating refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Mechanical Engineers work in manufacturing, agriculture, maintenance and technical sales also.
